From A Shopping Trend To A Life Changing Reality
At a time when raising funds for charities has become almost impossible, due to the economic uncertainty and the large number of organizations asking for donations we were asked to help Raise funds for "Aleh" the largest network of residential facilities for children with severe disabilities. We found out that people are less willing to open their hearts and donate when they aren't sure where their money is going and for what purpose. We decided to offer people the opportunity to purchase a specific product, but not in the usual way. We used the popular trend of the "Group Sale Platform" that is gaining momentum all over the world. Together with "walla shops", one of the leading shopping sites in Israel, we turned this shopping trend into a life changing platform. The donors knew exactly where their money is spent, could follow the progress of the purchase and experience the satisfaction when the purchase was completed. The average time it took to sell the products, using the Group Sale Platform decreased dramatically from a number of months to only 7 days. Following this success, the "Group sale" has become a permanent platform for purchasing essential medical equipment such as a feeding pump, and an oxygen meter for children with special needs. The next product that will be offered for sale in February is an "electric suction pump".
