Treadmill Display
The newest execution in FirstBank, Colorado's ongoing 'We're here to help,' campaign'turns an out-of-home display unit into a children's circular treadmill. The physically interactive advertising is the work of TDA Advertising & Design, Boulder. At the Denver International Airport, a plexiglass rotating signboard ('RSB') is headlined, 'Tire your kids out so they sleep on the plane..' Kid-sized handprints appear three-and-a-half feet above the floor, and, above them, the instructions, 'Have children place hand here.' The signboard makes one revolution every 30 seconds. (The RSB's plexiglass exterior is stationary; only the display turns.) The advertising is intended to 'amuse and befriend''traveling parents. Creative credits go to TDA'creative directors Jonathan Schoenberg and Thomas Dooley, art director Neal Desai, and copywriters Jeremy Seibold and Joe Nafziger. The media vendor is Clear Channel Outdoor, Denver. FirstBank, Lakewood, Colo., is Colorado's largest locally owned bank. Other 'helpful''FirstBank advertising has included free mock holiday gifts, free thumbless gloves for mobile banking skiers, and oversized bank furniture displays for online banking customers nostalgic for the bank lobbies they no longer have cause to visit. www.efirstbank.com TDA Advertising & Design is a strategically-focused creative agency with $26 million billings from clients including, among others, FirstBank, Boyer's Coffee, Titus Bicycles, Cloudveil, Justin's Nut Butter, and 1% for the Planet. www.tdaad.com
