To feed a cat lovers desire to know everything they can about their cat, the folks of the WHISKAS brand have launched a new Cat Network community a 24/7 source of news, information, advice and entertainment all about cats at whiskas.ca. Created by Proximity Canada, the website is a branded online broadcast centre that includes informative and entertaining programming for cat owners and lovers. The site also serves as a web hub and social network for the cat-lover community. We wanted to create a place where cat lovers could share their passion for cats, explains Damien V鲡n, WHISKAS Brand Manager. The new website gives cat lovers access to beautiful imagery of cats, tons of videos, information on cat health and nutrition, a tour of our WHISKAS Dry food plant and how WHISKAS cat food is made. Consumers also have the ability to share their own cat stories, pictures and videos with the WHISKAS on-line community enabling consumers to interact with each other and the Whiskas Brand. The site boasts an abundance of cat photography and video to make navigating extremely user-friendly and intuitive. Broken into six main sections, visitors to the site have the ability to take a tour inside the WHISKAS dry food plant; receive expert advice from a feline nutritionist; learn about what to do and what not to do when raising a kitten; get tips on how to choose the right cat; explore whats going on in a cats head from a cat whisperer and upload personal stories, pictures and videos to the Cat Network community. The site also contains a full list of products, descriptions and their nutritional values. Magnificently shot videos also showcase the beauty of the feline in slow motion as it drinks, pounces and leaps in a never-seen-before way. Storytelling is a fundamental way that people share their knowledge and emotions about cats, says John Gagne, Vice President, Creative Director, Proximity Canada. They are interested in hearing from others about their experiences with their cats. The Cat Network enables cat lovers to share their personal feline stories through pictures, text and video while giving them the opportunity to connect to other cat lovers in the process. The WHISKAS Cat Network extends into Flikr http://www.flickr.com/photos/whiskasnetwork/ and YouTube http://www.youtube.com/user/whiskasnetwork. Email communications to WHISKAS brand cat enthusiasts announced the sites beta launch on March 1st and will notify them when new content is added. Public relations outreach to the blog community and cat enthusiasts will also drive additional traffic to the site.
